Floriculture Field Days: “Where All Color Turns to Green”

Nothing sells a plant better than blooms and buds.  Flowers attract customers like nectar to the bees, enticing browsers to become buyers.

Discover the hottest tips and trends in flower production and landscape design at the Floriculture Field Days and Performance Trials on May 9-11, 2012 in Lake Buena Vista. The Florida Nursery Growers and Landscapers Association (FNGLA) and Disney have teamed up to showcase the newest flowering plant releases and current innovations in the floriculture industry.

Held in conjunction with Epcot’s Flower & Garden Festival, the conference kicks off at 2:00 pm with the Floriculture Road Show, a six-hour garden tour with members of Disney’s horticulture team.  The next two days feature educational sessions with some of the floriculture industry’s finest speakers plus field tours demonstrating how leading breeders’ new varieties perform in Florida’s tough growing conditions.  Riverview Flower Farms and Knox Nursery were chosen as the official growers for the 2012 trials because of their quality growing techniques.

Growers, landscape professionals, and garden center retailers will find new and innovative concepts to take back to their businesses.  Early registration runs until May 2 and FNGLA members receive special rates.  More information is at http://bit.ly/I2mRms.
